Ronald Valimont

Ronald C. Valimont, 69, of Clearfield died on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at his residence.

He was born on November 3, 1936 in Frenchville, a son of the late Clarence and Edna (Royer)Valimont.

Mr. Valimont retired from the former Gray Battery and Auto Supply, Clearfield in 1998 after forty two years of service.
He was catholic by faith and was a member of the Clearfield Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #812 and the Clearfield Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #540. He was a social member of the Leigey-Renaud Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post #8386, Frenchville.

He is survived by his wife, Julia M. (Gormont) Valimont whom he wed June 1, 1957 at Clearfield; two daughters, Kim Shaw and husband Kenny and Cheryl Mosley and husband Jay, all of Clearfield; two grandchildren, Arika and Casey Shaw; a brother and four sisters, Eugene Valimont of Clearfield RD, Rita Graham of Radcliff, KY, Velda Stevens of Clearfield, Ruth Plubell of Pottersdale and Mary Lee Fulesday of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Marian Hess, Ethel Dunlap and Violet Billotte and brothers, Bernard, Clyde, Richard and an infant brother Lawrence Valimont.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. with Father Samuel G. Bungo officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Wednesday from 9-10:00 AM

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 119 East Market Street, Clearfield or to the charity of one's choice.
