Roselia M. Koozer, 88, of Clearfield died on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on May 13, 1922 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Dayton and Grace (Nebgen) Shifter.

Mrs. Koozer was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lawrence Township Fire Company No. 1.

She is survived by six children, Donna Daniel and husband Douglas of MN, Ashley Koozer of Clearfield, Carolyn Thurstin of Mechanicsburg, Allen Koozer of Clearfield, Gale Koozer and wife Ruth of Indianapolis, IN and Michael Koozer of NC; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; a sister and brother, Helen Jean Owens and husband George of Hyde and Clyde Shifter and wife Eleanor of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon L. Koozer on December 31, 1998 and whom she married May 7, 1941 in West Virginia; a daughter, Rita Fedder; three sisters, Geraldine Turner, Sylvia Green and Hazel Shifter and three brothers, Gordon, Doryce and John Shifter.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday at 11 AM with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 PM and on Thursday from 10-11 AM.
