of Goshen died on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born on May 13, 1921 in Goshen, a daughter of the late Wade and Ethel (Caldwell) Cowder.
Mrs. Gormont was a homemaker and was a member of the Goshen United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three children, Julia Valimont Clearfield Janice McCool and husband Thomas Clearfield
Bruce Gormont Hazelton 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a sister, Anna Fledderman Clearfield
and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer F. Gormont on May 13, 1990 and whom she married September 24, 1937, three sisters, Bessie Byrd, Vera Cowder and Alice Kephart and a brother Wade Cowder.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jennifer C. Heikes and Rev. Virginia Eminhizer officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Friday from
10-11:00 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield Foundation for Health Hospice, PO Box 992, Clearfield.
