Ruby A. Peters, 79, of Curwensville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 23, 2022 at home, surrounded by her family.
She was born August 3, 1943 in Curwensville, the daughter of Harry T. London and Oleta H. (Marshall) London.
On February 16, 1962 she wed Kenneth D. Peters, the love of her life, and together they raised 3 children. Family meant everything to her. Her house was the gathering place for Sunday dinners, card games with her friends and family, many picnics and all kinds of ball games. Ruby enjoyed travelling, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, and caring for and spoiling her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and having many tea parties with them. She was a 1961 graduate of Curwensville Area High School. She was a dedicated Christian and was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Curwensville. She was retired from the Clearfield Hospital.
Ruby is survived 3 children: Tracey (Chris) McCracken, Ken (Charlotte) Peters, and Tom (Tammy) Peters, all of Curwensville; 12 grandchildren: Mark (Erin) McCracken, Brett (Janelle) McCracken, Hunter McCracken, Chris (Krista) McCracken, Joe McCracken, Tyler (Mandy) Peters, Ashley (Nick) Foster, Jordan Peters, Erika Peters, Joshua Peters, Ty Elensky and Tanner Elensky.; 10 greatgrandchildren: Rory, Wesley, Trent, Drew, Jeremy, Alaina and Jake McCracken, Theo and Maeve Foster, and Emmett Peters; two brothers: Fred (Donna) London and Gary (Cherie) London.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, who passed away March 25, 2008, Ruby was preceded in death by two sisters: Kathryn Patton and Nancy Neff, and a daughter-in-law Christine Peters.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Community Baptist Church in Curwensville, PA.
