Ruth M. Bloom, 81, of Curwensville died on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at her residence.
She was born on April 13, 1925 in Knox Township, PA, a daughter of the late Harry W. and Daisy Kathryn (Aughenbaugh) Rowles.
Mrs. Bloom was a homemaker and a member of the Curwensville Grange and the Home Extension Organization.
She is survived by six children, Ronald Bloom and wife Cathy of Houston, TX, Roger Bloom and wife Martha of Clearfield, Susan Sylak of Youngstown, OH, Kathy Rafferty of Curwensville, Debra Patterson and husband Donald of Lakeland, FL, Jacalyn Smith of Curwensville; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a brother and two sisters, Harry W. Rowles, Jr. of Curwensville, Christine Shobert of DuBois, Barbara Bryant of Okeechobee, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Bloom on July 9, 2002 and whom she married March 7, 1945 in the Curwensville United Methodist Church, a brother Paul Rowles and three sisters Kathryn Rowles, Natalie Bloom and Thelma Keller.
Graveside services will be held at the Mt. Zion Cemetery on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Stephen D. Shields officiating
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Foundation for Health-Hospice, PO Box 992, Clearfield.
