Ruth Fowler

Ruth L. Fowler, 85 of Clearfield died on Friday, January 25, 2008 at Clearfield Hospital.
She was born on November 26, 1922 in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Garth L. and Virginia (Henderson) Lindsay.
Mrs. Fowler worked in the cafeteria for the Clearfield Area School District for 28 years.
She was a member of the Winburne Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by three children, Garth L. Fowler and wife Kathleen Ryan of Wooster, OH, Joyce E. Winters of Treasure Lake, V. Gail Hand and husband William of Clearfield; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Hubler and husband Frank of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Madeline Davidson and her brother Gerald R. Lindsay.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Interment will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Joseph and Elizabeth Shaw Library, 1 South Front Street, Clearfield.
