Ruth Mease

Ruth E. Mease, 90, of West Decatur died on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at her home.

She was born on October 30, 1922 in Bigler, a daughter of the late Ray and Viola (Hummel) Louder.

Mrs. Mease was a homemaker and a member of Bigler United Methodist Church.

She is survived by four children, Dian Ruth Mease of West Decatur, Dorothy Conrad and husband Gary of Morrisdale, Kathy McGraw and husband Preston of West Moshannon and Richard R. Mease of West Decatur; three grandchildren, Alan Conrad and wife Patty of Lanse, Heather Kovac and husband Mike of Green Castle and Preston R. McGraw and wife Jamie of West Moshannon; three great grandchildren, Michael and Daniel Conrad of Lanse and Kayla Kovac of Green Castle; and numerous and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd D. 'Skinney' Mease on September 18, 1997 and whom she wed May 3, 1942. She was also preceded in death by an infant granddaughter and three sisters, Delphine Louder, Marie Smeal and Madeline Cowder.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Sunday at 2 PM with Rev. Kathy A. Leigey officiating. Interment will be in the Bigler Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-2 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Bigler United Methodist Church, PO Box 416, Bigler or the Clearfield Foundation for Health-Hospice, PO Box 992, Clearfield or to the Bigler YMCA, 61 Walker Road, Bigler.
