Ruth E. Miller, 87 a resident of Knickerbocker Villa, Clearfield died on Monday, June 6, 2005 at Clearfield Hospital.
She was born on March 22, 1918 in Mahaffey, a daughter of the late Harry and Jane (Beitz) Bailey.
Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and was employed by the former Kent Sportswear.
She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God where she was a Sunday school teacher and a Deaconess. She was also a volunteer with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
She is survived by two children, Harry Bailey of Hyde and Connie Butler and husband Tim of Clearfield, three grandchildren, Harry Bailey, Jr., Ruth Ann Greer and Brenda Lee Duncan five great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Stella Haag of Clearfield and Susan Welker of Richfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Miller in 1974 and whom she married on November 25, 1951 in Hawk Run, a son John Franklin Bailey, an infant son Kenny, two brothers John F. and Fred Bailey, and four sisters, Emeline McKeown, Myrtle Bailey, Mary Barto and Sadie Hazzard.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Tony S. Searles officiating. Interment will follow in the Centre Cemetery, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Friday from 12-1:00 PM.
