Ruth Taylor

Ruth Erma Taylor, 82

of Park Avenue, Curwensville died on Sunday, December 1, 2002 at University of Texas Medical Branch Hospital in Galveston, TX.

She was born on February 17, 1920 in Curwensville, a daughter of the late Charles F. and Rose Alice (Booth) Young.

Mrs. Taylor was employed at Kent Sportswear for many years and also at the former hosiery mill in Curwensville
She was a member of the Curwensville First Baptist Church.

She is survived by three children,
Robert Gillen and his wife Lavada Jonesboro, AR
Richard Gillen and his wife Bunny Crystal Beach, TX
Nancy Collins and her husband Leo Clearfield

9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great great grandson

and a brother,
Blair Young Massena, NY

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Taylor in July of 1969, a great granddaughter and a brother Thomas Young.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Friday at
1:00 P.M. with Rev. Daniel M. Osterhout officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Thursday from
3 – 9:00 PM and on Friday from Noon - 1:00 PM
