Ruth Welder

Ruth Ann 'Ruthie' Welder, 79, of Grampian went to be with our Lord on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at the Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.

She was born on July 21, 1944 at the Clearfield Hospital, a daughter of the late Michael and Dorothy (O'Dell) Ritz.

Ruth started married life as a homemaker then worked for many years at Kent's Sportswear.

She had an outspoken personality and was a fierce protector of her family and friends. She was an excellent cook and was known for her potato salad, fruit salad, and punch bowl dessert for family reunions and picnics.

Ruth is survived by her seven daughters, Tammy Barnyak and husband Greg, Susan Stiles and husband William, Georgia Rang and husband Craig, Martina, Joanna, Dorothy, and Megan; 19 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford M. Welder on October 1, 2023. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jordan Rang; a granddaughter, Danielle Moriarity; her best friend, Elaine (Quigley) Charles; three sisters, Madeline, Jean, and Barb; and two brothers, Howard and Kenneth.

Friends will be received at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Curwensville on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 4 - 5 PM. A short service will follow at 5 PM at the funeral home.

Following the service, the family invites everyone to join them for a Celebration of Life at the Curwensville VFW.
