Sally T. Salvatore, 92, of Clearfield died on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

She was born on December 25, 1914 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Spingola) Ianaro, Sr.

Mrs. Salvatore was a homemaker and was employed by the former Kent Sportswear, Curwensville.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.
She was involved in many community organizations including the Martha Washington Lodge #1525 Sons of Italy Lodge, Clearfield, the Ladies Auxiliary of Clearfield Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #812 and the John Lewis Shade Post #6 Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion where she was past president and vice president.

She is survived by two children, Harry J. Salvatore and wife Margaret of Clearfield, Joyce Eckley of West Palm Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Wendy Salvatore, James Todd Eckley and Stephanie Renee Eckley; five great grandchildren; and a sister and a brother, Antoinette Arble of PA and Carmen Ianaro of Clearfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Salvatore on October 15, 1974 a granddaughter Heidi Lynn Eckley, a grandson Harry Richard Salvatore, four sisters, Susie Marano, Jessie Heim, Mildred Ruggerio and Mary Yacabucci and five brothers, Frank Ianaro, John Ianaro, Tony 'Fats' Ianaro, James Ianaro and Joseph 'Boom' Ianaro.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Friday at 10:00 A.M. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.

At the request of Mrs. Salvatore there will be no public visitation.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 South Front Street, Clearfield PA 16830.

The Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield is in charge of the arrangements.
