Samuel A. Ettaro, 83, of Clearfield died on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Clearfield Hospital.
He was born on September 5, 1928 in Clearfield, a son of the late Nick and Rose (Gardenia) Ettaro.
Mr. Ettaro was a house painter as well as the owner of the Town Tavern, Clearfield.
He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.
He is survived by two children, Lorraine Ettaro of N. Bethesda, MD and Samuel Ettaro II and wife Kimberly of Curwensville; a granddaughter, Isabella; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carmela M. 'Millie' (D’Alessio) Ettaro on August 20, 2011 and whom he married April 25, 1953 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield; four brothers Russell, Anthony, Philip and Charles Ettaro; and a sister Mary Ettaro.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Wednesday at10 AM with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
There will be no public visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 1129 State Street, Suite 302, Erie, PA 16501.
