Sara Ann Cleaver, 88, of Grampian died on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
She was born on August 26, 1934 in Chestnut Grove, a daughter of the late Wilbur Lawson and Pearl (Flood) Bloom.
She was a member the Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church. Mrs. Cleaver graduated DuBois High School and was employed at Penn Traffic Department Stores, Riverside Markets and most recently, the Penn Grampian Elementary School. She took great pride in being very involved with her community. Some of the many organizations that she was involved with was the Curwensville Women's Club, several singing groups and affiliation with the Grampian Lions Club.
She is survived by two sons, Dave Cleaver and wife Deann of Louisa, VA, and Randy Cleaver of Mechanicsville, VA; two grandchildren, Jesse Cleaver and wife Jessica of Louisa, VA, and Heidi Cleaver of Troy, VA; three great grandchildren, Cole, Ava, and Ty;
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin S. Cleaver on November 13, 1990 and whom she wed September 24, 1955. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Lynn and Hylan Bloom.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Grampian.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield County Cancer Support Inc., 610 Susquehanna Avenue, Curwensville, PA 16833; or to the Chestnut Grove Cemetery, 5075 Greenville Pike, Grampian, PA 16838.
