Sarah Condon

Sarah Jane Condon, 84, of Clearfield, Pennsylvania, left this world on January 29, 2024, at home with her family by her side. She was born in Clearfield on January 20, 1940, the daughter of Lex J. Kolbe and Geraldine Shaw Kolbe. A member of the Clearfield High School class of 1958, she then went on to graduate from Penn State Beauty Academy in State College. Shortly thereafter she owned and operated Sally's Beauty Shop in Hyde, Pennsylvania.

Sarah was a devoted wife and mother, an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and a plant lover with a green thumb.

On June 14, 1964, she married Cecil Ivan Condon, and in 2016 they celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by an infant brother, as well as her older brother, Richard M. Kolbe.

Sarah leaves behind four loving sons: James E. Condon II, of Reynoldsville; Christopher A. Condon, of Meadville; Adam K.Condon of Philipsburg; Mark D. Condon and wife, Heather, of Grampian; a stepdaughter, Bonnie Colleen Condon and her partner Timothy Wheeler, of Bennington, Vermont; and a stepson, Bradley C. Condon and his wife, Diana,of Philipsburg.

Also surviving is her brother, William L. Kolbe and his partner, Darlene, of Altoona; sister-in-law Doris M. Kolbe, of Curwensville; grandchildren, Jeffrey Twoey, Jordyn Condon, Hannah Condon and Scott Condon; several nieces and nephews; a dear friend, Carol Territo; and Sarah's beloved cat, Tippy, who was a great source of comfort and companionship.

Arrangements are in the care of Beardsley Funeral Home & Crematory in Clearfield.
