Scott Lee Peters, 44, of Clearfield died on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in his home.
He was born on January 22, 1980 in Clearfield, a son of Gale (Shaffer) Peters of Clearfield and the late John Peters.
Scott attended Lock Haven University of PA and had been employed by the North Central Secure Treatment Unit as a juvenile corrections officer in Danville, PA. He enjoyed ice hockey, especially rooting for the N.Y. Rangers. Scott also liked hiking, camping, and walking his dog, Tyson. He loved to watch any crime show on television as well as the show "Top Gear." He cherished the times he spent with his family.
He is survived by his mother, Gale Peters of Clearfield; his daughter, Raegan Peters of Houston, TX; two brothers, Andrew Peters and wife Terri of Indialantic, FL, and Ryan Peters and wife Jessica of Turbotville; nieces and nephews, Bennet, Jacob, Kennedy and Nicholas Peters; aunts and uncles, Gary Shaffer and wife Nadine of Cambridge Springs, Kathy Shaffer of Clearfield, Mark Shaffer of Mars, Kevin Shaffer of Clearfield, Rev. Lee Peters and wife Patty of Elizabethton, TN, Dave Peters and wife Joy of Dover, DE, and John Anthony of Plumville.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Peters; an aunt, Ruth Anthony; maternal grandparents, Paul and Betty Shaffer; and paternal grandparents, Rev. Edward and Marian Peters.
There will be no services held at this time. Burial will be in the Mt. Joy Cemetery, Clearfield.
