Shellie Rea Gardlock, 34
of Olanta died on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Burkina Faso, West Africa.
She was born on December 7, 1972 in Clearfield, a daughter of Jack and Marilynn (McClure) Gardlock of Olanta.
Miss Gardlock was employed as a graphic artist with Extreme Wear in DuBois.
She was currently on a four month mission in Burkina Faso, West Africa teaching English as a second language and Bible. While there, she was also serving career missionaries with her graphic art skills.
She was a graduate of Clearfield High School, Penn State University and DuBois Business College.
She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Curwensville.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandmother, Gertrude McClure of Olanta and an uncle, Dean Haley (Tim) Gardlock of New Jersey.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Walter McClure and her paternal grandparents Maxine and Haley Gardlock.
A memorial service will be held at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Curwensville on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Stephen D. Shields officiating.
Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 725 Susquehanna Avenue, Curwensville.
