Sherman T. Cowdrick III, 60, of Clearfield died on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at his home.
He was born on September 7, 1958 in Clearfield, a son of the late Sherman T. Cowdrick II and Charlotte (Gregus Cowdrick) Sandri.
Sherm graduated from St. Francis High School in 1976. He loved to capture Clearfield through photographs and was creative in all that he did. He loved fishing and playing cards with his family.
He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church where he served as a greeter and usher for many years. Sherm holds the fourth degree, which is the highest degree, in the Knights of Columbus Council 409, Clearfield.
He was employed at Jim's Sports Center in Clearfield.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Margie Rosselli and husband John 'JR'; step-sisters, Barbara London and husband Ed, and Joanne Sandri; a nephew,
John S. Rosselli and wife Kaitlin; nieces, Allison Freyer and husband Jesse, Sandi Swales and husband Andy, LeeAnn Caldwell, and Karen McGaha and husband Arnie; twelve great nieces and nephews; and one great great nephew.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Robert Sandri; maternal grandparents, John and Margaret Gregus; and paternal grandparents, Sherman T. and Beatrice Cowdrick.
Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Wednesday at 10 AM with Father Brandon M. Kleckner as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.
According to Sherm's wishes, there will be no public visitation.
Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield is in charge of arrangements.
