Shirley Louise Gormont, 80, of Clearfield passed away on March 23, 2025 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
She was born September 18, 1944, the daughter of Donald and Lucille (Peoples) Smith.
Shirley graduated from Clearfield High School in 1963. She worked as a seamstress at Target Sportswear in Hyde for many years before retiring as a bridge inspector for PennDot.
She enjoyed picking mushrooms, fishing, and taking frequent trips to the casino.
Shirley is survived by three siblings, Donna Kowalcyk of Florida, Kathy (Dominic) Santaite of New Jersey, Kenneth (Tawny) Smith of Glen Hope; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Ronald Gormont on June 11, 2019; a brother, Melvin Smith; and two nephews, Lynn Smith and Steven Kowalcyk.
Honoring Shirley's wishes, there will be no public services.
Interment will be in the Gillingham Cemetery, Frenchville.
