Theadore C. 'Ted' Lanich , 77,of Bigler died on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital.
He was born on September 2, 1935 in Clearfield, a son of the late Clair and Alma (Blake) Lanich.
Mr. Lanich retired as a bridge designer for PennDOT in 1991 after 30 years of employment. He enjoyed camping and belonged to various camping clubs.
He attended the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield.
He is survived by his wife, Emma (Hoke) Lanich whom he wed October 27, 1961 in Clearfield; two children, Lorrie Fontenoy and husband Rod of Curwensville and Ted Lanich and companion Tammy Riley of Altoona; three grandchildren, Courtney and Kyle Lanich and Curtis Fontenoy; two brothers and a sister Bruce Lanich and his wife Bernice, Edward Lanich and his wife Cindy and Frances 'Sis' Hirsch, all of Clearfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Lanich.
Funeral services will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield, on Thursday at 11:00 am with Rev. Penney Rahm officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and at the church on Thursday from 10-11 am.
