Thelma Louise McGarvey, 87,of Curwensville died on Friday, November 12, 2010 at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg.
She was born on July 21, 1923 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Karl and Wilda (Johnson) Kester.
Mrs. McGarvey was employed at Kent Sportswear, Curwensville as a seamstress.
She was protestant by faith.
She is survived by a son Donald R. McGarvey and wife Patricia of West Decatur; a granddaughter Dawn Luzier; a great granddaughter Emily Luzier; a brother Gilbert Kester of Marshalltown, IA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother John Kester and two sisters Pearl Barrett and Marie Shope.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday at 11 AM with Pastor Howard Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10-11 AM.
