Thomas Allison

Thomas J. Allison, 88 of Grampian RD died on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Clearfield Hospital.
He was born on January 12, 1921 in Mahaffey, a son of the late John and Viola (Kitchen) Allison.

Mr. Allison was an Administrator for the DuBois Area School District for 29 years before retiring in 1982.
He graduated from Curwensville High School, Class of 1939. Mr. Allison received his Masters Degree from Penn State University, graduating in the Pioneer Class of 1952 in Vocational Agriculture. He taught Vocational Agriculture at Curwensville High School for 11 years where he gained the respect of many young men.
He was a member of the Greenville Church of the Brethren for 65 years and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Eula D. (Gould) Allison, whom he wed June 15, 1941 in Grampian,

two great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild,

a sister and brother,
Maude Rowles of AZ
Blair Allison of Rochester, NY

and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Betty Matthews and Emma Green and five brothers, Ferman, James, Clyde, Stanley and Eddie Allison.

A Committal service will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at
3 PM with Pastor David Baker officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-3 PM.

Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the members of the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6 and the Clearfield Veterans of Foreign Wars F. Michael Sicks Post # 1785.
