Twila English

Twila L. English, 79 of Woodland died on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on November 22, 1929 in Goshen, a daughter of the late Blair R. and Mary (Maines) Shirey.

Mrs. English was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Dale United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Blair H. English, whom she wed May 1, 1948 in Woodland,
three children,
Sandra Hull and husband Donald of Woodland
Harold English and wife Gloria of Woodland
Terry English of Buckhannon, WV

a daughter-in-law,
Mary English of Philipsburg

nine grandchildren,
Kim Price, Lisa Corbin, Brian English, Mark English, Vickey Mainey, Richard English, Shawna English, Joshua English, Jennifer Merritts

nine great grandchildren,

two sisters and a brother,
Erma Voss of Clearfield
Bessie Funari of Frenchville
Robert Shirey of Frenchville

and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Timothy English, a grandson Michael English, a daughter-in-law Kathryn English and a brother Richard Shirey.

Funeral services will be held at the Dale United Methodist Church, Woodland on Saturday at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Thomas C. Lenker officiating. Interment will follow in the Dales Cemetery, RD, Woodland.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday from
2-4 & 6-8 PM and at the church on Saturday from 1-2:00 PM
