Vera E. Litz Williams, 89, of Clearfield died on Monday, July 23, 2007 at Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
She was born on April 10, 1918 in Sanborn, a daughter of the late John and Effie (Richner) Yarger.
Mrs. Williams was employed by the former General Cigar Factory, Viceroy Sportswear of Osceola Mills and the Curwensville Public Library.
She attended the Sanborn EUB Church and later the Hepburnia United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three children, Shirley Litz of Rossiter, Joyce Baker and husband Robert, Sr. of Sanborn and Brad Litz of Clearfield; three grandchildren, Robert Baker, Jr. of Sanborn, Troy Baker and wife Virginia of Sanborn and Melanie Harris and husband James of West Decatur; 5 great-granddaughters; a brother and a sister, John Yarger and wife Sylvia and Erma Pinto all of Sanborn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Irvin N. Litz on October 13, 1970, four brothers Norman, Wayne, Andrew and Gerald and a sister, Martha.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in the Sanborn Cemetery, Woodward Township.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
