Wade J. Schickling, 82
of 710 W. Locust Street, Clearfield died on Friday, October 25, 2002 at the Clearfield Hospital.
He was born on November 29, 1919 in Lawrence Township, a son of the late Joseph A. and Chloie (Peoples) Schickling.
Mr. Schickling was employed at Harbison-Walker Refractories until his retirement and as a young man worked on the family farm.
He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield.
He is survived by a daughter,
Lana Jane Schickling Clearfield
and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Marie (Peters) Schickling on May 3, 1998 and whom he married May 16, 1947 in Altoona, brothers Chester J. Schickling, Claude R. Schickling and an infant brother and a sister Evelyn Kowalski.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at
1:00 P.M. with Rev. Michael G. Trimmer officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 4 and 6- 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from Noon until 1:00 PM.
