Walter "Teddy" Zwolski, Jr. 73

of 410 Anderson Street, Curwensville died on Friday, August 9, 2002 in Curwensville.

He was born on October 25, 1928 in Curwensville, PA, a son of the late Walter and Agnes (Paluch) Zwolski, Sr.

Mr. Zwolski began his employment with the Howes Leather Co. in Curwensville, having worked from 1945-1949. In 1950 he went to North American Refractories until 1953 when he worked for Brown Plumbing of Bradford. During the construction of the new Curwensville High School he worked as a brick tender until returning to Howe's Leather in 1953 and working there until his retirement in 1991.
He was a member of St. Timothy's Church, Curwensville and was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean Conflict where he received the Combat Infantry Badge.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine M. (Olosky) Zwolski,

two brothers and two sisters,
Edward Zwolski
James Zwolski both of Curwensville
Anne Nowocien Buffalo, NY
Helen Brzezinski Norwalk, CA

and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Billy, Henry, Johnny, Walter and Joseph Zwolski and sisters Janet Zwolski, Margaret McLaughlin, Mary Ross and an infant sister.

At the request of Mr. Zwolski there will be no public visitation.

A memorial mass will be said at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Curwensville, on Friday at 11:00 AM with Rev. James C. McKee officiating.

Military honors will be accorded by members of the Clearfield American Legion and V.F.W. Posts.

The Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville is in charge of the arrangements.
