Wayne Barchinger

Wayne C. Barchinger, 71 of Hyde died on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at DuBois Regional Medical Center - West.

He was born on August 21, 1936 in Fargo, ND, a son of the late Carl Barchinger.

Mr. Barchinger was a truck driver, retiring in 2006 from Walmart after 13 years of service. He also drove truck for Marathon Equipment, Denochick Trucking and Clearfield Cheese Co.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield and a member of the Hyde Fire Co. for over 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, Launa (Boruff) Barchinger, whom he wed June 15, 1974 in Winston Salem, NC, six children, Wayne Closson and wife Suzanne of Terre Haute, IN, James 'Buzzy' Walker of FL, Billy Wade and wife Debbie of Louisville, KY, Amby Leight and husband Michael of Gibsonton, FL, Melanie Heaton and husband Michael of Okeechobee, FL, Sundae Olson and husband Lenny of Hyde, four step-children; Connie Dunn and husband Steven of Gates, NC, Sheila Cox and husband Clayton of Knoxville, TN, Ed Boruff and wife Gerri of Wallaceton, TN, Aubrey Sharp of Knoxville, TN, 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, two sisters, Marsha Wilkins of Mesa, AZ, Elaine Mendelman of Fargo, ND, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son Woody Walker and a step-daughter Sharon Boruff.

Funeral services will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield on Tuesday at
11:00 A.M. with Rev. Robert L. Rupp and Rev. Brian Vasey officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday from 4-7:00 PM and at the church on Tuesday from 10-11:00 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, 113 N. Third Street, Clearfield.
