Wayne C. Wynick, 73, of Clearfield, went to be his with his Lord on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
He was born on March 16, 1949 in Wellsboro, a son of the late Charles and H. Jeanette (Whitmire) Wynick.
Wayne graduated from the Northern Potter High School and then graduated from Penn State University. He retired from the Bureau of Forestry as an Assistant District Forester at Moshannon State Forest. He was a member of the Moshannon Forest Fire Fighters Association and also acted as a public liaison with forest fires in the western United States. Wayne loved being outside and enjoying nature. He also cherished his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Clearfield Alliance Church.
He is survived by his wife, Pam (Saulter) Wynick of Clearfield; three daughters, Amanda Wooster and husband Nathan of Karthaus, Jennifer Barker and husband Matthew of Bel Air, MD, and Rashel Benjamin and husband Dillon of Huntingdon; five grandchildren; a brother, Gerry Wynick and wife Iris of Harrison Valley; and two nieces.
Funeral services will be held at the Clearfield Alliance Church, Clearfield on Thursday December 29, 2022 at 11 AM with Rev. Robert B. Goldenberg officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Memorial Cemetery, Karthaus.
Friends will be received at the Clearfield Alliance Church on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 9-11 AM.
