William E. Bain, 86
of Hyde died on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
He was born on December 5, 1920 in Surveyor, a son of the late Jack and Gussie (Wilson) Bain.
Mr. Bain was a coal miner, retiring in 1978.
He was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Clearfield and was a member of the Leigey Renaud Post #8386 Veterans of Foreign Wars, Frenchville.
A US Army veteran, he served during WW II.
He is survived by his wife, Ada M. (Graham) Bain, whom he wed April 9, 1949 in Wolf Run, Clearfield
four sons, William E. Bain, Jr. of Jacksonville, NC, Terry Bain of Hyde, and twins, Roger Bain of Hyde and Rodney Bain and wife Julie of Clearfield, 2 grandchildren, Rodney James Bain and Audra Rebecca Bain and 1 great granddaughter, Victoria Marie.
Further survived by a sister and a brother, Thelma Michaels of Shawville and Jack Bain of Eddystone and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great grandson, Brian, two sisters, Althea Shaw and Annabelle Rizzuto and a brother, Robert Bain.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at
11:00 AM with Dr. Duane A. White and Rev. Jerry Hunter officiating. Interment will follow in the Eden Cemetery, Shawville.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the members of the Frenchville VFW Post.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday from
2-4 and 6-8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10-11:00 AM.
