William Leonard

William R. Leonard Sr., 88, of Montgomeryville died on Monday, July 5, 2021 at the Manor Care Nursing Home, Montgomeryville.

He was born on March 23, 1933 in Clearfield, a son of the late Robert and Julia Mae (Bell) Leonard.

Mr. Leonard owned and operated Lenson Co Inc, Weld Repairs and Machine Shop, Telford, starting in 1974.
He was a 1950 graduate of Clearfield High School and a member of the Pennsylvania Bison Association, Shiloh Lodge #558 Free and Accepted Masons, Souderton, ROJ Court #128, Allentown, and the Rajah Shrine, Blandon.

He is survived by two children, Patti J. Worthington of Harleysville, and William R. Leonard Jr. and wife Arma of Sheridan, MT; five grandchildren, William R. Leonard III of WA, Lyle Leonard of CO, Cassandra Leonard of New Tripoli, Lisa Cressman of Telford, and Patricia Davenport of Woxall; numerous great grandchildren; two brothers, Rev. Kenneth Leonard and wife Marylee of LeContes Mills, and Dale R. Leonard and wife Darlene of NM; and a best friend, Anne Brooks of Yarnell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. (Kolbe) Leonard on November 26, 2010 and whom he wed April 25, 1952 in Clearfield; an infant son; and a son-in-law, Barry Worthington.

In honor of Mr. Leonard's wishes, there will be no public services observed at this time. Interment will be at the Congress Hill Cemetery.
