William Maines

William D. Maines, 67, of Clearfield died on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
He was born on November 10, 1948 in North East, a son of the late Bruce and Robina (Hering) Maines.
Mr. Maines proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam from 1966-1970. During this time, he was a MedVac Pilot and earned a bronze star. After his service with the Navy, Mr. Maines was employed by the US Marshall's as a Special Agent. Mr. Maines was a lifetime member of the Clearfield VFW and a member of the Clearfield American Legion.
He is survived by his siblings, Bruce Maines, Patrick Maines and wife Brenda, David Maines, and Beverly I. McCuster; and a cousin, Ron Fenton of Clearfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Calvin Maines; and a sister, Sandra Lee Maines.
A memorial service will be held at the Clearfield American Legion on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 11 AM with military honors accorded by the Clearfield American Legion and VFW Honor Guard's.
