William Sellers

William Sellers, 88 of 222 Leavy Avenue, Clearfield died on Sunday, June 26, 2005 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

He was born on August 9, 1916 in Ann Arbor, MI, a son of the late Anna Mae Sellers.

Mr. Sellers retired from Clearfield Bank and Trust Co. in 1981 after 17 years of employment. He then worked as a Tip Staff at the Clearfield County Court House until 1988. He also was employed at the former Robinson Clay Products.
He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, a fifty year member of the Masonic Susquehanna Lodge #96 and a member of the Photography Club.
He served with the US Army during WW II and was a member of the F. Michael Sicks Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 1785 of Clearfield.

He is survived by five children; Jeannette F. Foster of NJ, William F. Sellers of Ft. Myers, FL, Robert E. Sellers and wife Rhonda Sellers of Clearfield, John H. Sellers of Ft. Myers, FL and Henry E. Sellers of Ft. Myers, FL, 4 grandchildren; Bryant and Anthony Sellers of Clearfield, Robert Foster of NJ and Lisa Foster-Gordon of NJ; 5 great-grandchildren, numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances L. (Wiggins) Sellers on February 7, 1997 and whom he married February 15, 1942 in Chicago, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Kevin Locker officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.

Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the members of the Clearfield American Legion Post 6 and Clearfield VFW Post 1785 Honor Guard.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Thursday from 10 - 11:00 AM

Masonic services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8:00 PM.
