Obituary for Rose Capille (Panarello)

Rose Capille (Panarello)
Rose (Panarello) Capille, 94, passed away at her home at Colonial Courtyard in Clearfield on Saturday, April 1, 2017.

Rose was born on July 19, 1922 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the daughter of Salvatore and Grazia (Spadora) Panarello.

When she was young, her family moved to a farm in Bargaintown, New Jersey where she lived most of her life. She was a graduate of Pleasantville High School in 1941.

On January 3, 1943, Rose married Antonio S. Capille, Jr. shortly before he had to leave to serve in the European Theatre during World War II. While her husband was in the Army overseas, she worked at the Owens and Illinois Glass factory. Although she was a stay at home mother once they started their family, Rose continued to work on the family vegetable farm. As a team, the Capille's farmed well past the normal retirement years and were well-known for the quality of their produce. Rose and Antonio moved to Clearfield to be with their family in 2002.

Rose was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Linwood, NJ and later a parishioner of St. Francis Church in Clearfield. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bargaintown Fire Department. Rose was the ultimate cook and her home was always the gathering place for extended family and friends to enjoy the feasts that she prepared.

Rose is survived by her son, Antonio S. Capille, III of Las Vegas, NV and her daughter, Annette Grace Ryan and her husband Michael of Clearfield.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, Nina E. Oppenheim and her husband Tommy of New York, NY, Antonio S. Capille, IV of Ventnor, NJ, Caitlin Rose Rydberg and her husband Timothy of Erie, Jennie Rebecca Ryan-Gisewhite and her husband Douglas of Wayne and Johanna Ruth Ryan of Mechanicsburg. She also is survived by two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Julia Oppenheim of New York, NY.

She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, her parents, her brother Biagio Panarello and his wife, Jennie, her brother Carmen Panarello and his wife Rita and four infant brothers.

Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Wednesday at 10 AM with Fr. Brandon M. Kleckner as celebrant and Msgr. Henry L. Krebs as homilist. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday from 6-8 PM and Wednesday from 9-9:30 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 S. Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830 or to the Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Department, 6550 Mill Road, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234.
