Obituary for Michael A. O'Dell

Michael A.  O'Dell
Michael A. O'Dell , 47, of Clearfield died on Friday, December 5, 2014 at his home.

He was born on January 6, 1967 in Wellsboro, a son of Janice Shafer O'Dell-Winter (Richard) of Linden and the late Charles Allen O'Dell.

After graduating High School, Michael served his country in the United States Army for 10 years. Upon returning from the military, he attended Penn State DuBois and had been employed at Sids Super Sub's in Clearfield. Michael most recently had worked at the Board of Assistance Office until 2013. He enjoyed camping, canoeing and hunting as well as having a special knack in brewing his own beer and playing Dungeons and Dragons. Michael enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will also be sadly missed by his cat, Jack.

Michael was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Noble Lodge #480 of Curwensville, American Legion Post 505 of Curwensville, the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona, the Curwensville Rescue Hose and Ladder Company and the A.A.S.R. Northern Masonic Jurisdiction USA, Altoona.

He is survived by three children, Donovan O'Dell (Guy Thomas), Libby O'Dell (DJ Weatherwalk) and Connor O'Dell (Devon Keith) all of Clearfield; and his sister, Beth O'Dell Taggart of Estell Manor, NJ; a nephew and two nieces, Zachary, Sydney and Cassidy Taggart.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Saturday at 12 PM with Rev. Dr. Robert S. Ludrowsky. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville. Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery

A time of visiting with friends and sharing memories will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8 PM and on Saturday from 11 AM until the service.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, PO Box 550, Clearfield.
